Chris started out as an assistant-director, producer’s assistant and runner on features and shorts including the Harry Potter series and Shadow of the Vampire.
He trained as an editor, quickly becoming head of post and then creative director where he trained a team of award-winning directors and editors, winning a Royal Television Society award for production in 2007. Chris became freelance and has been producing branded content for world leading organisations since 2008.
After directing his first two narrative shorts which screened BAFTA qualifying festivals, he decided to study for a master’s degree, to spend a year developing his craft as a drama director and exploring new creative work.
Chris graduated with a distinction in 2018 for his thesis film, The Rocketship, and won the university’s Court Medal for outstanding academic achievement.
He has recently been shortlisted for the 2019 New Talent Development fund through BFI and Scottish Film Talent Network and is currently developing a new short film and a first feature screenplay.
